Trying the Combinations: A Conversation with Richard Deacon

Richard Deacon is one of the most prolific British artists practicing today, with a career spanning nearly four decades. Using a wide variety of media and processes, he has developed a diverse and constantly surprising body of work—from small-scale pieces to monumental public sculptures. A major exhibition, covering the full range of his sculpture, is on view at Tate Britain through April 27, 2014. I spoke to him on the occasion of his “Association” show at London’s Lisson Gallery… see the entire article in the print version of March’s Sculpture magazine.
