Artranspennine98 was a ragbag of roughly 40 projects, 50 artists, and 30 sites that took place throughout the notional transpennine region in Great Britain, which spans Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, and Hull. The works were supposed to be revelatory of the life and culture of the region, according to curators Robert Hopper (from the Henry Moore Institute) and Lewis Biggs (director of the Tate Gallery, Liverpool), but for the most part, that was not the case… Subscribe to Sculpture Magazine to view the full review.
