2014 Outstanding Student Achievement In Contemporary Sculpture Awards

The International Sculpture Center is proud to present the winners of the 2014 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Awards. This year’s program attracted a large number of nominees from university sculpture programs in North America and abroad. From a pool of 374 nominees from 151 schools, the jury selected 22 award recipients and 25 honorable mentions. Jurors for the program were Stefano Catalani, director of art, craft & design at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington; Donald Lipski, sculptor, New York; and Kathryn Mikesell, founder of the Fountainhead Residency and Studios, Miami, Florida. This annual award was founded in 1994 to recognize young sculptors and encourage their continued commitment to the field of sculpture, as well as to recognize the award recipients’ faculty sponsors and their institutions. The 22 award recipients will participate in Grounds For Sculpture’s Fall/Winter Exhibition, in Hamilton, New Jersey, from October 18, 2014 through April 5, 2015, and the exhibition will travel to another location, to be determined, during summer 2015.
