At first glance it seems that Steven Tucker is adept at playing one or two notes and exploring their limited range. However on closer observation, it becomes clear that his pieces manage to condense a range of experiences into both a limited format and a limited narrative. The narrative Tucker explores here is one of loss-loss that could refer to death or departure and that is colored as much by the sharpness of pain as by the taste for nostalgia.
