The Clay Studio
Sadashi lnuzukas recent installation, River, repeated a formula that he has used frequently: that of spreading wet clay across the surface of the flood letting it dry and crack, and then hanging or installing on the wall above it fired clay sculptures that present a variety of shapes drawn equally from mechanical and biological forms. Often in his previous installations lnuzuka did this on a smaller scale and, perhaps more importantly, in such a way that one could approach his individual forms at a close range… See the print version of Sculpture Magazine for the full review.
